MononcleAI ("we", "us", "our") operates the website mononcleai.ca. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this to manage your account and subscription.

Usage data. We track session counts, session duration, and feedback you voluntarily submit (ratings, comments, optional email). This helps us improve the service.

Device identifiers. We generate a random identifier stored in your browser's local storage to manage session limits. This is not linked to your real identity unless you sign in.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. We receive your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

Voice data. Voice conversations are processed in real time by OpenAI's API. Audio is streamed directly between your browser and OpenAI via WebRTC. We do not record or store your voice conversations on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the service (session management, authentication, subscriptions).
To enforce usage limits (daily sessions, free trial).
To send transactional emails (purchase confirmations).
To improve the service based on aggregated usage and feedback data.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect data:

OpenAI — processes voice conversations. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
Google Sign-In — authenticates your identity. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Stripe — processes payments. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Vercel — hosts the application and collects anonymous analytics. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Reddit — advertising pixel for conversion tracking. See Reddit's Privacy Policy.
Resend — sends transactional emails. See Resend's Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use browser local storage to maintain your session state. Third-party services (Vercel Analytics, Reddit Pixel) may set cookies for analytics and advertising purposes.

5. Data Retention

Analytics events are retained for 30 days.
Feedback records are retained for 90 days.
Account profiles and subscription data are retained for as long as your account is active.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing hello@bluebooktech.ca. If you are in Canada, you have rights under PIPEDA. If you are in the EU, you have rights under GDPR including the right to data portability, erasure, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS, hashed identifiers, and secure third-party providers. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. Children

MononcleAI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated effective date.
